We welcome schools (primary and secondary) and youth groups into our centre for a multi-sensory learning experience. We tailor each session to the age of the students and to teachers’ curriculum needs — our team are dedicated members of our Buddhist community from a range of educational backgrounds, and our priority is giving students a valuable, memorable visit.
We can also visit your school for a two-hour session.

What People say
Our recent year 12 and 13 visit to the Cardiff Buddhist Centre exceeded our expectations. Everyone was so welcoming and joyful. The guided puja and meditation was an unforgettable experience that enriched their learning, but also helped still our minds and brought us peace. We really appreciate the learning aspect too, that was tailored to our needs. The learners had a chance to deepen their understanding as well as recall their own knowledge. We cannot thank you enough, and will be back.
Our visit to the Cardiff Buddhist Centre was a truly enriching and memorable experience. The session was led by Vishvapani, whose insightful, interesting, and engaging approach made Buddhism accessible and thought-provoking for all pupils.
One of the highlights of the visit was the opportunity for pupils to take part in meditation practices. These activities were calm, reflective, and expertly guided, allowing everyone to experience a practical aspect of Buddhist teaching firsthand.
The centre itself was beautiful and welcoming, filled with colourful and meaningful artwork that created a peaceful atmosphere. Particularly impressive was the way the artwork highlighted the connection between Buddhism and Wales, blending Buddhist symbolism with Welsh culture and heritage. This unique link added an extra layer of interest and made the visit feel especially relevant and inspiring.
Myself and the GCSE year eleven class visited the Cardiff Buddhist Centre from Swansea. It was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed. CG’s explanations were clear and well explained to pupils. She was able to activate their prior knowledge of Buddhism and test them on key teachings in various ways. We got to experience meditation, as well as watching Catherine and other Buddhist members. There was an open forum for discussions, both prearranged and questions on the day. The members gave us insight into their journey into Buddhism and their difficulties in following some of the guidelines in modern life. We found the trip insightful and a great experience, as well as supportive of the WJEC GCSE course. I would certainly recommend a visit to the Centre.
