Learn & Practice Meditation
Meditation is the skill of focusing and settling the mind. The mental space that creates means you can notice what’s happening in your experience and find helpful ways to respond. That helps if you’re feeling stressed or anxious, opening a doorway to greater peace, depth and meaning
Learn: Intro Courses
We teach classes for complete newcomers to meditation, offering full instruction.
At these classes you’ll learn two meditation practices: the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Loving Kindness Practice (or mettabhavana). While the Mindfulness of Breathing mainly develops calm and focus, Loving Kindness Practice fosters kindness towards ourselves, the people in our lives and the world. These tried and tested techniques have long been practiced in the Buddhist tradition.
Meditation is an art, not just a technique; so in our classes we’ll guide you in applying it to your experience. It’s is a skill for life. In learning to meditate you’re choosing to value your mind, which is the source of our happiness and our capacity to help others.
