March 7 @ 10:00 – 16:00
People can talk vaguely about the importance of karma and how it connects with rebirth, but the Buddha’s radical teaching on how actions have consequences is very clear, and helpful, even today. This day will be a precious opportunity to go back to early Buddhist discourses, and to discuss what the Buddha taught about karma. Dhivan will lead the study, engaging with some big ideas and helping us find our own ways to make them relevant to our lives.
Dhivan is a Buddhist scholar and teacher based in Somerset. He leads retreats in the Triratna community on early Buddhist philosophy and also on animism.
The day will include some meditation but be primarily study and discussion.
This is a free event, with donations welcomed. It is suitable for regulars to the Cardiff Buddhist Centre or other Triratna Centre, Mitras and Order Members.
