Flow Like Water – A Day Retreat with Viryanaya

May 16 @ 10:00 16:00

“Water is fluid, soft, and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. This is another paradox: what is soft is strong” ― Lao Tzu

Using metaphors, including elements from the natural world, can help us to free ourselves from habitual, limiting patterns. The Buddha frequently used the element of water as a symbol of freedom. Through discussion, play, visualisation and meditation we will focus on how the water element can help our practice flow.

Viryanaya co-runs Tirylan House Retreat Centre, teaches meditation and has been leading retreats for over 10 years, including camping retreats with Buddhafield.

She is particularly interested in leading workshops and retreats which weave together different aspects of practice including intellectual, emotional, physical and creative elements, as well as enjoyment of the natural world.
