Dharma Day Festival

July 26 @ 10:00 15:00

Dharma Day is one of the three main Buddhist festivals.

When the Buddha gained Enlightenment, he understood how things really are. As Buddhism says: he realised ‘the Dharma’. The next challenge was to help others see the same reality, and that meant formulating ideas they could reflect on and practices they could undertake. The Dharma in this sense means the teachings that form a path to wisdom, compassion and liberation.

On Dharma Day we’ll celebrate the Dharma in both senses with a meditation, a talk, discussion and ritual. The day will start with the two meditation groups we usually have on a Sunday – so beginners are welcome to attend.

Join us for a day of reflection, insight and the Buddha’s words, all led by Padmabodhini and Alokasanya.

Suitable for all, free entry, no need to book. If you are able to, please bring something for a shared vegan lunch
