Cardiff Men’s Weekend Retreat – Spiritual Friendship

February 20 @ 18:00 February 22 @ 14:30

The Buddha said spiritual friendship is ‘the whole of the spiritual life’, and it is with this vision in mind that Triratna was founded as a network of spiritual friendship. This retreat will explore how it can be a practice for us, helping us go deeper and find more joy and purpose in life.

The retreat is also a perfect opportunity to relax, meditate and make connections with other members of the Cardiff Sangha, all in the beautiful surrounds of Adhisthana Retreat Centre. Open to anyone who has attended the Cardiff Centre and has knowledge of the two main meditations taught by Triratna, which can be learnt at our free drop in meditations.

This Cardiff Sangha men’s retreat is suitable as a first retreat and for more experienced members of the Sangha. Led by Sagaradana and Padmasimha, there will also be a talk by Manjuvajra, a senior member of the Triratna order. He will be exploring the Gosinga sutta in which the Buddha posits a challenging question to his most accomplished disciples. It will be a precious opportunity to spend time with Manjuvajra, teasing out a deeper understanding of this wonderful teaching.

You can arrive on Friday from 4pm, with dinner on the first evening at 6pm. We’ll be finished by 2.30pm on Sunday.

You can pay the full retreat price upfront, or a deposit of £30 to secure your place, with final payment then due by the start of February 2026.

The Cardiff Buddhist Centre is a charity whose aims include widening access, if you would like to attend but the cost is prohibitive, we do offer bursary spaces. If interested please contact the Centre Manager to discuss – connect@cardiffbuddhistcentre.com.
