Community
The Cardiff Buddhist Centre is the hub of a thriving community. We meet together to practice meditation, explore Buddhism and share our lives in a spirit of friendship.
Open Kula takes place every Wednesday from 11am until 2pm when members of the public can visit the centre to look around and talk to members of the team. People thinking of attending an event or booking on a course value the opportunity to visit beforehand and ask questions so they are a little bit more informed and confident about coming along. Sometimes people just drop in to use the shop. Open Kula is also involved in helping keep the centre tidy.
Open Kula’s regular presence in the building also provides the opportunity for members of the sangha to come along and volunteer during that time which may involve cleaning or other activity related to the running and enhancing of the centre. Volunteers would be very welcome to join in a shared lunch with the Open Kula members which is also a chance to deepen connections with others in the sangha.
