‘Not about being good’ course
Not About Being Good
(A practical course on how to live and what to do)
No one wants to feel like they’re being told what to do – we like to think we know what’s best for ourselves and others. The trouble is our life doesn’t always bear that out.
A key Buddhist insight is that consciousness isn’t fixed; we are creating it all the time by our actions of body, speech and mind. This means we can shape our future.
On this six week course we will explore how to act in ways that help our lives to flourish and contribute positively to the lives of those around us.
Open to all but particularly if you have done an intro to Buddhism and Meditation course in the past 2 years and want to take things further – this is a good place to begin.
Tamonuda, Alokasanna and team look forward to seeing you there – there will of course be some music, poetry, discussion and convivial company.
The course is based on Subhadramati’s book Not About Being Good available at the Buddhist Centre or from Windhorse publishing website.
