The Compassionate Warrior: an online day retreat with Vidyamala Burch
We are in the midst of these challenging times. We can be cowed by anxiety and overwhelm and turn away. Or we can use these conditions to develop the strength and courage to be with change, which is, after all, a fundamental truth of life.
Touch into and strengthen the compassionate warrior within on this day retreat, offered by Vidyamala, an experienced Dharma teacher and founder of Breathworks.
She’ll share with us practices that will help empower ourselves to make wise choices; and step through a gateway to empathy and love.
Vidyamala brings a wealth of practice of the Buddha’s early teachings on mindfulness, as well as the love and outward-focussed compassionate activity of lojong, or mind training. Suitable for those who have completed an Introduction to Buddhism course, or mindfulness practitioners who wish to explore the Buddhist roots that underpin mindfulness and compassion practices.
This will not be a whole day spent on Zoom! There will be breaks from the screen in order to reflect and take the teaching deeper.
