Buddha Day Festival: Sunday 27th May
This is an invitation to join the celebration of Buddha Day at the Cardiff Buddhist Centre on Sunday 27th May. This is the main festival of the Buddhist year, celebrating the Buddha’s attainment of Enlightenment, traditionally said to have been on the full moon night of May.
This year the festival will also feature the mitra ceremonies of Amber and Annette. Becoming a mitra – making a committment to the Buddhist path – is a significant step to take, so it will be great for the sangha to be there to support them.
It will also include a short and simple ceremony to mark Sagaradana becoming mens Mitra Convenor for the Cardiff Buddhist Centre, taking on special responsibility for looking after the spiritual welfare of men mitras.
There will also be a plant sale to raise funds for the Centre. Please bring and buy!
We will finish with a festive lunch – please bring vegan food to share.
A rough programme for the day is below… I look forward to seeing you there!
